WHAT'S NEW FOR 2025Carefully review what’s changing for next year before you make your elections. Remember that Annual Enrollment is your opportunity to make changes or elect new coverage. Even if you like your current plans, it’s important to consider your options and needs, so you can be sure to find the right fit.
Be sure to enroll Nov. 4 – Nov. 15, 2024, for BCU coverage in 2025. If you do not make changes by Nov. 15, 2024, your current benefit elections will carry over into 2025, except for Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) participation. Those spending accounts require an active election each year.
Employee contribution rates are increasing slightly.

New medical ID cards will be provided.
Aetna now partners with CVS Virtual Care for telephonic health services. As a result, you will receive a new medical ID card with the updated phone number for services to begin using in Jan. 2025.
We are introducing Whole Life with Long-Term Care Insurance.
This hybrid coverage including Life Insurance plus Long-Term Care benefit, administered by Allstate, blends coverage for in-home and other long-term care medical needs for you, as well as life insurance for you and your loved ones. Get the details here.
Hinge Health services are expanding to include women's pelvic health.
Progyny coverage is expanding to include menopause and mid-life care.
Health savings and spending account limits are increasing.
HSA: The combined limit for Health Savings Account (HSA) contributions in 2025 is increasing to $4,300 for employee-only coverage and $8,550 for all other coverage levels. If you are age 55 or older, you can make an additional catch-up contribution of $1,000 in 2025. Review the Health Savings Account page for details.
FSA: The IRS contribution limit to the Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is increasing to $3,300. Review the Flexible Spending Account page for details.
Commuter: The IRS contribution limit to the Commuter Spending Account is increasing to $325. Review the Flexible Spending Account page for details.
Supplemental Life and Voluntary Disability are having a special enrollment again this year.
Even if you waived coverage previously, you may elect up to the Guaranteed Issue amount without providing evidence of insurability (EOI). Learn more.
